Heartstream AED (H-P)

Hewlett-Packard currently offers a single Automated External Defibrillator - the Heartstream FR2 AED.

The HP Heartstream AED features long-life, consumer lithium-managense batteries designed for high-volume use. The Heartstream uses an advanced electrocardiogram (ECG) analysis system (called SMART Analysis) to provide a high degree of accuracy.

The SMART Analysis system was tested against 3,000 ECG heart rhythms, which were reviewed and classified as "shockable" and "non-shockable" by three independent, board-certified cardiologists. The Heartstream AED exceeded the performance requirements of the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) and the American Heart Association's (AHA) standards for both sensitivity and specificity.
